PCYC MAITLAND ROLLER SKATING
Has your child or teenager expressed an interest in learning how to roller skate? With a roller skating classes at PCYC NSW, they can learn how to roller skate in a structured, safe and fun environment.
At PCYC, kids of all ages can join one of our roller skating classes. During our classes, beginners will learn the fundamentals of roller skating, including how to put on their skates or blades, position their feet and maintain balance. More experienced members will be taught more advance techniques, like performing tricks, different skating styles, and skating on ramps. Some PCYC clubs have indoor skate parks, where your child can use the facility’s ramps and bowls to practice their new skills. Coaches are also happy for free skating so if skaters prefer, they can free roam skate outside of the lesson. Skaters must bring own skates or blades, safety helmet and pads.
Not only is roller skating and roller blading a fun way to stay active, but it’s also great for kids to build their confidence and self-esteem. As they put in the hard work to improve their skills, they’ll feel a sense of pride as they get better on their board. Plus, kids in PCYC roller skating sessions will get to socialise and make new friends with others that also enjoy skating!
Roller-skating is a great way for both kids and adults to stay active, learn new skills, and have fun. Some of our clubs offer Roller Disco nights and Skating Parties. Whether you’re looking for an epic birthday party or just an evening of family fun, these are great events!
Whether you’re just learning balance, you’re trying a new trick, or you’re incorporating roller-skating stretches for a more effective skating workout, roller-skating helps you master new skills and push yourself to new speeds.
It’s also great stress-relief for all ages. Studies show that regular physical activity relieves stress, refocuses your mind, helps kids learn more effectively, and can even improve your mood. As if we needed another reason to go roller-skating!
All of our roller skating classes are supervised by experienced PCYC staff, who will teach your little one how to safely and properly ride their skates or blades.
